Lokaa Foundation has been working with 1000 villages around Ekam The vision of this initiative is to create equitable communities, in which growth for both individuals and the collective.

We are just getting started with Anil Puram and cannot wait to share its progress with you. We have acquired land to relocate the village to a zone that does not flood and is safer for living. Stay tuned to see how this exciting journey unfolds.

Anilpuram

The village houses 320 people and the World Village Project aims to transform it into a strong community and India’s first sustainable model village. This is the first village to start their very own production of mud bricks, leaf plates, and eco-friendly sustainable soaps for every day use.

Krishnapuram

Santoshpuram is a tiny settlement of 100 tribal people set in the foothills of the Eastern Ghats of southern India. It was the first village to be adopted for the World Village Project and in December of 2019 the project was inaugurated and completed. Here every thing was built from scratch.

Santhoshpuram

Gandhi puram is called home by 125 people and has 42 houses. Through the World Village Project, 8 damaged houses have been renovated and a well equipped knowledge centre has been constructed.

Gandhipuram

Dharakasthu is a quaint village which houses 205 people and has 55 houses. Through the World Village Project, 40 damaged houses have been renovated, and gravel as well as cement concrete roads have been constructed in order to provide accessible pathways for the villagers.

Mokkalachenu is a cosy village situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The village houses 179 people and has a total of 56 houses. One of our key contributions has been repairing damaged houses due to the rains. So far, 12 homes have been completely renovated. Overhead tanks with water for consumption have been made available to every house.
