Lokaa Foundation has been working with 1000 villages around Ekam The vision of this initiative is to create equitable communities, in which growth for both individuals and the collective.
The village houses 320 people and the World Village Project aims to transform it into a strong community and India’s first sustainable model village. This is the first village to start their very own production of mud bricks, leaf plates, and eco-friendly sustainable soaps for every day use.
Krishnapuram
Santoshpuram is a tiny settlement of 100 tribal people set in the foothills of the Eastern Ghats of southern India. It was the first village to be adopted for the World Village Project and in December of 2019 the project was inaugurated and completed. Here every thing was built from scratch.
Santhoshpuram
Mokkalachenu is a cosy village situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The village houses 179 people and has a total of 56 houses. One of our key contributions has been repairing damaged houses due to the rains. So far, 12 homes have been completely renovated. Overhead tanks with water for consumption have been made available to every house.
