On May 25th, 2024, Lokaa Foundation volunteers united for International Plastic-Free Day with a powerful vision: to nurture Mother Earth and create a cleaner, greener planet.
What began as a simple idea evolved into a global movement, inspiring communities across Mumbai, Pune, Belgaum, Surat, Vizag, and Abensberg.
At Dadar beach in Mumbai, volunteers kicked off with Soul Sync meditation, followed by a cleanup and lively antakshari session. Pune's Arai Hill saw a collaborative effort with The GreenLife Foundation, featuring early morning cleanups, Yoga, and Ashtachala meditation. In Belgaum, volunteers revitalized a local park and meditated to strengthen their bond with nature. Surat’s Dumas beach became a vibrant hub of activity with thorough cleanups, Yoga, and jamming sessions. Vizag volunteers inspired morning walkers during their beach cleanup and coordinated with a recycling unit for proper disposal of collected waste.
