World Village Project
Transforming underprivileged tribes into sustainable communities
The World Village Project believes in a “Human Being First, Infrastructure Next” approach. This means holding a holistic view of sustainability which begins with the individual’s mindset. Along with providing sustainable solutions for infrastructure and livelihoods, the initiative is also working to bring about a shift in the mindset of individuals to create world-centric individuals not bound by any forms of discrimination, and in turn creating space for individual and collective growth.
The village houses 320 people and the World Village Project aims to transform it into a strong community and India’s first sustainable model village. This is the first village to start their very own production of mud bricks, leaf plates, and eco-friendly sustainable soaps for every day use.

Mokkalachenu is a cosy village situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The village houses 179 people and has a total of 56 houses. One of our key contributions has been repairing damaged houses due to the rains. So far, 12 homes have been completely renovated. Overhead tanks with water for consumption have been made available to every house.
